I worked mostly on Simply Charming this week, quilting it and making binding. I also worked on the test piece (Fields).

I did a bit of research this week because the process used for Fields didn’t check all the boxes for me. I watched videos by The Collage Quilter, Susan Carlson and Art Fiber Stitch. We all have “those” days in the sewing room.
I wanted to make a few blocks of the Blue Hawaii pattern to see how it looked with the grey background fabric. I cut the green pieces correctly, but cut some grey pieces the wrong size. Because of the cutting error, I sewed the wrong green pieces to the grey pieces.
I laid the sections out to sew together and realized my mistake. I unstitched both blocks and restitched them correctly.
